Thank you for the support.

It exists to commemorate and remember those who have lost their lives or suffered injury or put themselves at risk of loss of life or injury during their time in the Service.

Central Fund

Huel

Huel (Human + Fuel) is nutritionally complete food. This means every Huel meal contains a balance of all 26 essential vitamins and minerals, protein, essential fats, carbs, fibre and phytonutrients in a single product.

Resilience

Taking part in this challenge will require a strong mindset, an extremely high level of resilience and a constant will to succeed in a high-pressure environment! These will be the toughest battles by far throughout the 40+ days at sea, but overcoming these challenging mindsets allows you to grow as an individual and more importantly, in the case of this event, as a team.

We are extremely keen to use the knowledge gained from this event to benefit the wider RAF and will be using the lessons we learn from overcoming these challenging mindsets to pass on to members of the RAF, during and after the event. We will be doing weekly live feeds from sea, direct to training establishments from around the RAF, covering subjects such as the importance of mental robustness and the importance of effective teamwork and planning. After the event we will be conducting roadshows to RAF stations and looking to attend the CAS leadership conference to pass on these lessons learnt.

Atlantic ROCKS

The Campaign

In January 2024, the crew of four, will be rowing 3200 miles across the Atlantic from Lanzarote to Antigua, pushing the boundaries of what’s physically and mentally possible, in an aim to learn from this experience to enhance us as individuals and to pass on the lessons we learn from doing this challenge to members of the RAF, in an aim to benefit the entire force.

We will be raising money for 5 charities, The Centurion Fund, The Veterans Charity, Mental Health Research UK, Tough Enough to Care and SSAFA, all of which are extremely close to our hearts and we each have our own reasons for choosing these specific charities, which can be found in our individual Bios’.

Tough Enough To Care

We want men of all ages to feel comfortable talking and opening up about their emotions to those close to them, instead of bottling them up until they reach breaking point. We also want men to be able to spot when others may be struggling. There is no shame in being Tough Enough To Care.

The Veterans Charity

The Veterans Charity was founded in March 2008 to support UK Veterans of all generations.

We provide fast, direct support to Veterans across the entire UK who find themselves facing hardship and distress.

SSAFA

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need.

Mental Health Research UK

“Each and every arduous undertaking seems like such a good idea at the time of conception. It’s only when you start the final preps that you realise that you are probably a bit of a lunatic, and that you should just get fat and lazy. Nah. Get it smashed men!.”
